CVTI SR Scientific Library
Through its activity, the CVTI SR Scientific Library contributes to the development of science, technology and education by building and managing library and information funds and providing library and information services for the general professional public.:

  • it acquires, preserves and makes available all types of domestic and foreign documents, including standards, patents, company documents, as well as documents of depository libraries of the OECD, EBRD, WIPO, ZSVTS and the European Union in both paper and electronic forms,
  • it provides comprehensive library, information and research services for science and research in Slovakia as well as for the general professional public.

Remote access to licensed electronic information sources (e-sources) is allowed to registered users of CVTI SR only. Detailed descriptions of all e-sources available in CVTI SR are accessible in this catalog.

Open Science
Open Science “represents an approach to the research process based on collaboration, sharing and open dissemination of knowledge by using the digital technologies and applying the principles of openness in every aspect of the research cycle” (Foster Open Science 2020).

  • CAS Source Index online tool for searching bibliographic information on publications indexed in Chemical Abstract
  • Chemical Abstract is the most important chemistry information source. It has been edited and published since 1907. Chemical Abstract abstracts all the most important information from the chemistry field published as journal articles, proceedings, patents, lectures, dissertations, research reports, books.
  • At SCHK, the printed form is accessible from the first volume published in 1907 until 2003. The electronic form of CA years 2003-2006 is available on CD in the STU network, licensed for 4 connections.
